About the instructor
Asha Clearwater of Turquoise Tiger is an NCTJ* qualified journalist who has been creating engaging content for more than 30 years. She’s been a news reporter, features editor and arts editor, as well as editing a number of national business magazines.
Today, Asha divides her time between coaching SMEs on the art of great storytelling to promote their products and services and producing written and digital content for her varied PR clients.
Asha’s experience spans writing for local and regional press, breaking national news stories and even launching the world’s first interactive magazine for the ‘Twitterverse’, which drew her numerous accolades and awards nods as well as a bulging celebrity contacts book and a testimonial from none other than Stephen Fry.
She has also managed PR, publicity and social media for national charities, a world champion sports star, a best selling author, a national veterinary chain and pretty much everything in between.
Asha has been running her own PR, content coaching and consultancy business for more than 15 years.
She occasionally freelances as a writer for national magazines, and she’s even behind some of the information boards you’ll find strolling through Woodland Trust forests. Pick up an information leaflet for a business or tourist attraction and you might even find she penned that too!
In short, what Asha doesn’t know about PR, content creation, storytelling and journalism ain’t worth knowing!

IS THIS A STAND ALONE COURSE?
No! This is the third course of a series of six courses designed to teach you how to create the perfect press release. if you haven't done so yet please watch course 1 and 2 in the series. This course will assume you have watched these first.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN STRUCTURE AND STYLE?
Basically this means how to put the press release together before you distribute it. If this is not done correctly then the press release will never get seen by anyone. Asha will teach you how to structure and style the press release so that it catches the attention of the journalist
WHAT DO YOU LEARN?
In this course our PR Expert Asha will go through the importance of facts and quotes in a press release. She will also go through images and the five points you need to consider when structuring your press release. Asha has even included a sample press release she created that you can download and base your own press releases on.
